Koons’ M3 GT2 Art Car Helicoptered to Norway’s “Pulpit Rock”

Koons' M3 GT2 Art Car Helicoptered to Norway's
Sure, there are lots of Volkswagen vans with psychedelic paint jobs. But as far as proper art cars go, BMW is king. And while some might see letting artist Jeff Koons go to town on your race car as a little bit nuts, it takes a special kind of crazy to want to put said car on a mountain ledge just so you can get a good picture of it.

While I’m sure this operation was perfectly safe—or as safe as flying a helicopter with cargo dangling from the bottom of it into the mountains can be—it sure looks sketch. Getting it to the top is one thing, but can you imagine being the dude in charge of getting this into place? Another inch and this M3 would have to been sold as a sculpture, because that’s what it’d be after a 2000ft drop. Yikes.
