Car Throttle loves to put together lists. They have all the best V8s, all the best V10s, and a whole host of other “Best Of” lists. Their newest video, shown below, consists of the best cars from the ’80s, and while I’m not sure what they are smoking to think up that one, I will give it to them that their first choice is excellent.

The 1983 BMW M635 CSI was definitely one of the coolest cars of the ’80s. When new, it had 286 horsepower that would punt it to a top speed of 155mph. Back in 1983, that was hugely impressive. Heck, with some of our modern cars, that’s still pretty impressive.

Not only does the video give you a slew of cool cars, it also drops some science. I didn’t realize that the CSI engine was a modified version of the M1’s. That’s pretty interesting, especially when you consider that this is a family sedan.

But when you get right down to it, it’s the music that makes this video most endearing of all.
